for Damaging Winds, Heavy Rainfall And Large Hailstones
for parts of Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Central Highlands and Coalfields Forecast Districts.

A few severe storms continuing over the western Wide Bay and Burnett.
Weather Situation
Moderately strong instability remains over southeast and central Queensland this tonight. This is combining with strong winds in the upper atmosphere to provide a favourable environment for the development of isolated severe thunderstorms this tonight.
Warnings for Friday 31 October
DAMAGING WINDS, HEAVY RAINFALL and LARGE HAILSTONES for the following areas:
Central Highlands and Coalfields, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and Darling Downs and Granite Belt
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Monto, Eidsvold and Mundubbera.
 101mm of rain in the 2 hours to 10:20pm AEST at Bargara.
Emergency services advise people to:
 * Park your car undercover away from trees.
 * Close doors and windows.
 * Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
 * Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
 * Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
 * Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
 * Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
 * Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.
The next warning is due to be issued by 2:40 am.
