Severe thunderstorms have redeveloped about parts of the Southeast Coast,
DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Ipswich, Logan, Scenic Rim, Gold Coast, Redland City and Brisbane City
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 7:20 pm, severe thunderstorms likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding were detected near Coomera, Greenbank and Redbank Plains. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east. They are forecast to affect Logan Central, Hope Island and Woodridge by 7:50 pm and Mount Cotton, Macleay Island and Victoria Point by 8:20 pm.
3 cm hail reported south of Ipswich around 7:10 pm.
3 cm hail reported in inner northern Brisbane suburbs around 3:20 pm.

Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.

Maximum temperatures in the low forties over northwestern and central areas with overnight minimum temperatures in the mid twenties.
In the east maximum temperatures in the low to mid thirties with overnight minimum temperatures in the high teens to mid twenties.
Severe heatwave conditions are expected to continue to contract from western parts of the State over the coming days, and ease towards the start of next week in the east. Locations likely to be impacted include Brisbane Metropolitan Area, Bundaberg, Biloela, Gladstone, Gympie, Ipswich, Ingham, Longreach, Mackay and Maroochydore.
