Severe thunderstorms continuing over southeast Queensland this morning.
Weather Situation
A cold front combines with humid and unstable atmospheric conditions to promote severe thunderstorms.
HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Wide Bay and Burnett, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Toowoomba, Gatton, Boonah, Laidley, Lowood and Oakey.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, North West, Central Highlands and Coalfields and Central West districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED.
58 MM WAS RECORDED AT MARION DOWNS IN THE 30 MINUTES TO 10:13 PM.
69 mm was recorded at Giligulgul in the 1 hour to 3:30 am.
44.0 mm was recorded at Yangan (Swan Creek) in the 30 minutes to 12:00 am.
75.6 mm was recorded at Georgetown Airport in the 1 hour to 10:33 pm.
73 mm was recorded at Roxborough Downs in the 3 hours to 10:00 pm.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 6:35 am, a severe thunderstorm likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding was detected near Cecil Plains and Tipton. This thunderstorm is moving towards the east. It is forecast to affect Jondaryan, the area west of Toowoomba and the area west of Oakey by 7:05 am and the area southwest of Toowoomba, the area northwest of Toowoomba and Oakey by 7:35 am.
