Severe thunderstorms approaching from the west, impacting the Sunshine Coast in the next hour.

DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Cherbourg, Gympie, Somerset, South Burnett, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Brisbane City and Moreton Bay
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 10:50 pm, severe thunderstorms likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding were detected near Caboolture, Jimna and the area northeast of Kingaroy. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east. They are forecast to affect Strathpine, Redcliffe and the ranges between Gympie and Murgon by 11:20 pm and Caloundra, the area southwest of Caloundra and the area southwest of Gympie by 11:50 pm.

Gold Coast,Dalby,Toowoomba ,Scenic Rim,Ipswich,Logan,Redland

Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.

Minor Flood Warning For The Dawson River

RENEWED RISES AND MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BARALABA LATER THIS WEEK
A flood peak is moving down the Upper Dawson River and is nearing Gyranda Weir. This peak, in combination with forecast rainfall and storms from late Wednesday, may result in renewed river level rises and minor flooding along the Dawson River at Baralaba.

Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
Minor flooding is possible along the Dawson River at Baralaba later this week.
No observations are currently available for the Dawson River at Moura, however based on the nearby automatic gauge the river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level (6.00 m) and falling.
The Dawson River at Moura is likely to remain below the minor flood level (6.00 m).
