Minor Flood Warning For The Burrum River Catchment

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT HOWARD OVERNIGHT SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY
Moderate to heavy rainfall over the catchment has been observed since Friday which has led to some river level rises. Minor flooding is possible along the Burrum River at Howard overnight Saturday into Sunday.
Further showers and thunderstorms are possible for the remainder of Saturday and into Sunday. The situation is being monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for adjacent catchments.
Burrum and Cherwell Rivers:
Minor flooding is possible along the Burrum River at Howard.
The Burrum River at Howard is currently at 4.91 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Burrum River at Howard may reach around the minor flood level (6.00 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
