Minor Flood Warning For The Upper Burdekin River And Final Flood Warning For The Suttor River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT SELLHEIM (MACROSSAN BRIDGE) FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING
MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT ST ANNS
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been recorded in the upper Burdekin River catchment within the last 48 hours to 9:00am Wednesday. This has caused significant river level rises and minor to moderate flooding along the upper Burdekin River and its tributaries upstream of Sellheim. Minor flooding is possible at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) from Wednesday evening.
The river level is currently below the minor flood level and falling along the Suttor River at St Anns. Small renewed rises are possible but are not expected to reach the minor flood level.
Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
River levels have fallen just below the minor flood level at St Anns. Renewed rises to minor flood level are no longer expected.
The Suttor River at St Anns is currently at 3.64 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Suttor River at St Anns is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m).
Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor to moderate flooding is occurring in the upper Burdekin River and its tributaries.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) is currently at 6.25 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) may reach around the minor flood level (12.00 m) Wednesday evening.
