MODERATE FLOODING EXPECTED TO BE EASING AT WINDORAH
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT CAMOOLA PARK, JUNDAH AND RETREAT
RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT STONEHENGE DURING FRIDAY
The main flood peak is now expected to be along the Cooper Creek downstream of Windorah, where moderate flooding is estimated to be easing.
Further upstream along the Thomson River, a second flood peak has been observed at Longreach, where renewed minor flooding has now eased. As these flows move downstream, renewed rises are occurring along the Thomson River downstream of Longreach and may continue for the rest of the week.
Along the Barcoo River, the main flood peak is currently around the Retreat area, where minor flooding is occurring.

Thomson River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Thomson River at Camoola Park, Bogewong, and Jundah. Renewed rises are occurring at Bogewong.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is currently at 2.30 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is likely to fall below the minor flood level (2.00 m) overnight Thursday into Friday.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 3.13 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Thomson River at Longreach is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.30 m).

The Thomson River at Stonehenge is currently at 1.87 m and falling slowly, below the minor flood level.
The Thomson River at Stonehenge may exceed the minor flood level (2.00 m) during Friday as floodwaters arrive from upstream.

The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 2.87 m and falling slowly, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Jundah is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.50 m) for the next few days.

Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Renewed minor flooding is occurring at Retreat.
The Barcoo River at Retreat is currently at 2.91 m steady, above the minor flood level (2.14 m).


The Barcoo River at Retreat may peak near 3.10 m Thursday evening. The river is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.14 m) during the next few days.

Cooper Creek:
Moderate flooding is expected to be easing along Cooper Creek.
No observations are currently available for the Cooper Creek at Windorah. However, based on upstream gauges it is estimated that the creek level is around the moderate flood level (4.57 m) and falling.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah is expected to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) for the next few days.
