for Damaging Winds
for parts of Southeast Coast and Darling Downs and Granite Belt Forecast Districts.

Damaging winds possible tonight over the peaks and eastern slopes of the Main Range.
Weather Situation
A cold front that swept across NSW has entered southeastern parts of the state tonight resulting in damaging winds about the peaks and eastern slopes of the Main Range.
DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas:
Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast
DAMAGING WINDS averaging 55 to 65 km/h with peak gusts around 90 km/h are likely over the peaks and eastern slopes of the Main Range tonight, easing early Thursday morning.
Locations which may be affected include Main Range National Park.
Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.
The next Severe Weather Warning will be issued by 5:00 am AEST Thursday.
