Severe Weather Warning
for Damaging Winds

for parts of Mount Lofty Ranges, Mid North, Kangaroo Island, Murraylands, Upper South East, Lower South East and Flinders districts.

Issued at 4:49 am Wednesday, 25 June 2025.

Damaging wind gusts possible about elevated ground and southeast coastal fringes early in the morning.

Weather Situation
A strong southwesterly flow persists in the wake of a cold front about southeastern parts of South Australia. These winds are expected to ease early in the morning.
DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas:
Mount Lofty Ranges, Flinders, Mid North, Kangaroo Island, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East
Strong southwesterly winds with possible DAMAGING WIND GUSTS of around 90 km/h about Kangaroo Island, the Mount Lofty Ranges and the coastal fringe south of Goolwa.
Damaging wind gusts are forecast to ease throughout the warning areas early in the morning.
Locations which may be affected include Victor Harbor, Meningie, Jamestown, Burra, Robe and Millicent.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.

The next Severe Weather Warning will be issued by 11:00 am ACST Wednesday.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.

for Mount Lofty Ranges, Flinders, Mid North, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East forecast districts

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Mount Lofty Ranges, Flinders, Mid North, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and southwesterly winds are expected during today. Areas likely to be affected include the Lower South East forecast district and parts of the Mount Lofty Ranges, Flinders, Mid North, Murraylands and Upper South East forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

Yorke Peninsula forecast district
The Warning to Sheep Graziers for the Yorke Peninsula forecast district has been cancelled.
