MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT ROSS OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BELOW LAKE LEAKE AND LIKELY TO EXTEND TO MORNINGSIDE DURING MONDAY
Moderate flooding is occurring in the upper Macquarie River at Mt Morriston and is likely to extend downstream to Ross overnight Sunday into Monday. Minor flooding is occurring along the Elizabeth River below Lake Leake and is likely to develop along the Macquarie River at Morningside during Monday.
In the 24 hours to 7:00 pm Sunday, rainfall totals of 30-60 mm have been recorded in the Macquarie River catchment with an isolated total of 100 mm in the upper Macquarie River catchment around Tooms Lake.
Rainfall totals of 5-10 mm are forecast for the Macquarie River catchment overnight Sunday into Monday.
Strong and dangerous flows may be a hazard over the next few days.
Macquarie River above Mt Morriston:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River above Mt Morriston.
The Macquarie River at Mount Morriston peaked at 2.85 metres around 04:00 pm Sunday 14 August and is currently at 2.73 metres and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Macquarie River at Mount Morriston is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (2.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday.
Macquarie River - Mt Morriston to Elizabeth River:
Moderate flooding is likely along the Macquarie River - Mt Morriston to Elizabeth River.
The Macquarie River at Ross is currently at 1.20 metres and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Macquarie River at Ross is expected to exceed the minor flood level (2.00 m) Sunday evening. The river level is likely to reach the moderate flood level (2.50 m) overnight Sunday into Monday and may peak near 3.00 metres Monday morning, with moderate flooding.
Elizabeth River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Elizabeth River.
There are no available observations for Lake Leake, however Lake Leake is likely to be spilling.
The Elizabeth River below Lake Leake is currently at 0.98 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
The Elizabeth River below Lake Leake is expected to remain above the minor flood level (0.8 m) overnight Sunday and into Monday.
Isis River:
River rises are occurring along the Isis River.
Macquarie River - Elizabeth River to Lake River:
Minor flooding is likely along the Macquarie River - Elizabeth River to Lake River.
The Macquarie River at Morningside is currently at 2.48 metres and rising.
The Macquarie River at Morningside is likely to reach the minor flood level (3.50 m) during Monday.
Lake River:
River rises are occurring along the Lake River.

MINOR FLOODING MAY DEVELOP AT CORRA LINN DURING SUNDAY EVENING
Minor flooding may develop along the North Esk River at Corra Linn during Sunday evening.
In the 24 hours to 5:00 pm Sunday, rainfall totals of 10-35mm have been recorded in the North Esk River catchment. Up to 5 mm rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Sunday.
St Patricks River:
Flooding is no longer expected along the St Patricks River.
The St Patricks River at Nunamara Offtake is currently at 1.00 metres and steady approaching a peak below minor flood level.
The St Patricks River at Nunamara Offtake is likely to remain below the minor flood level (1.50 m) overnight Sunday into Monday.
Upper North Esk River:
River levels remain elevated along the Upper North Esk River during Sunday afternoon.
Lower North Esk River around Corra Linn:
Minor flooding may develop along the Lower North Esk River around Corra Linn.
The North Esk River at Corra Linn is currently at 2.58 metres and rising, below minor flood level.
The North Esk River at Corra Linn is likely to peak near the minor flood level (2.70 m) Sunday evening.

MODERATE FLOODING IS OCCURRING AT LEWIS HILL AND FINGAL
Moderate flooding is occurring along the St Pauls River at Lewis Hill and South Esk River at Fingal. Minor flooding is likely to develop at Llewellyn during Sunday evening.
In the 24 hours to 3:00 pm Sunday, rainfall totals of up to 88 mm have been observed across the South Esk River catchment.
Rainfall totals of 10-20 mm are forecast for the South Esk River catchment for the remainder of Sunday.
Break O'Day River:
River rises are occurring along the Break O'Day River during Sunday.
South Esk River above Fingal:
River rises are occurring along the South Esk River above Fingal during Sunday.
St Pauls River:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the St Pauls River.
The St Pauls River at Lewis Hill is currently at 3.05 metres and approaching a moderate peak.
The St Pauls River at Lewis Hill is likely to fall below the moderate flood level (2.60 m) overnight Sunday into Monday.
South Esk River - Fingal to Llewellyn:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the South Esk River - Fingal to Llewellyn.
The South Esk River at Fingal is currently at 5.33 metres and rising with moderate flooding.
The South Esk River at Fingal may peak near 5.80 metres Sunday evening. The river level is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (5.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday.
The South Esk River at Llewellyn is currently at 2.65 metres and rising, below the minor flood level.
The South Esk River at Llewellyn is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday. The river level may reach around 4.50 metres Monday morning.

MINOR FLOODING MAY DEVELOP IN THE FLOOD WATCH AREA DURING SUNDAY
A low pressure system sits offshore, to the northeast of the State, directing an east to southeasterly airstream over Tasmania. The low is expected to slowly move over northeastern Tasmania today, then remain over or near eastern Tasmania on Monday before moving away to the east during Tuesday.
Catchments are relatively wet across the flood watch area and rivers will be responsive to the observed and forecast rainfall.
In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Sunday, rainfall totals of 15-80 mm have been observed in the flood watch area with an isolated total of 108 mm at Mt Wellington.
Widespread 24 hour rainfall totals averaging 30-50 mm are likely about the south and east over the flood watch area during Sunday, with isolated higher totals of 60-80 mm possible.
River rises have been observed in the flood watch area. Minor flooding is likely to develop during Sunday.
Significant localised flooding is also expected in areas that receive heavy rainfall.
