ELEVATED RIVER LEVELS CONTINUING ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA DURING MONDAY
Showery conditions will continue during Monday, then ease Tuesday as a low pressure system moves away to the southeast.
Catchments are relatively wet across the flood watch area and rivers are responsive to rainfall.
In the 24 hours to 11:00 am Monday, rainfall totals of 5-40 mm have been observed in the flood watch area.
Further rainfall totals of 5-15 mm are forecast for the remainder of Monday.
River levels are rising and will remain elevated across the flood watch area during Monday.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
East Coastal Rivers (north of Bicheno)
Ringarooma River
North Coastal Rivers
Channel Coastal Rivers (South East Cape to Gordon)
Derwent River
East Coastal Rivers (south of Bicheno)
South East
Coal River

Minor flooding is occurring along the Jordan River at Mauriceton.
In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Monday, rainfall totals of 15 to 20 mm have been recorded in the Jordan River catchment. Rainfall totals of 5-10 mm are forecast for the remainder of Monday.
Jordan River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Jordan River.
No readings are currently available for The Jordan River at Mauriceton. The last reading was 0.57 metres and rising at 9:30 am on Sunday. However, the current river level is expected to be above the minor flood level.
The Jordan River at Mauriceton may peak near 1.40 metres Monday morning (minor flood level 0.9 m).

MODERATE FLOODING EXPECTED AT MORNINGSIDE MONDAY MORNING
MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT MT MORRISTON AND ROSS
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BELOW LAKE LEAKE AND MORNINGSIDE DURING MONDAY
Moderate flooding is occurring in the upper Macquarie River and expected to extend downstream to Morningside Monday morning. Minor flooding is occurring along the Elizabeth River below Lake Leake.
In the 24 hours to 8:00 am Monday, rainfall totals of 10-55 mm have been recorded in the Macquarie River catchment.
Further rainfall totals of 5-10 mm are forecast for the Macquarie River catchment for the remainder of Monday.
Strong and dangerous flows may be a hazard over the next few days.
Macquarie River above Mt Morriston:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River above Mt Morriston.
The Macquarie River at Mount Morriston peaked at 2.85 metres around 04:00 pm Sunday 14 August and is currently at 2.60 metres and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Macquarie River at Mount Morriston is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (2.00 m) during Monday.
Macquarie River - Mt Morriston to Elizabeth River:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River - Mt Morriston to Elizabeth River.
The Macquarie River at Ross is currently peaking around 2.80 metres, with moderate flooding.
The Macquarie River at Ross is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (2.50 m) during Monday.
Elizabeth River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Elizabeth River.
There are no available observations for Lake Leake, however Lake Leake is likely to be spilling.
The Elizabeth River below Lake Leake is currently at 1.19 metres and steady, with minor flooding.
The Elizabeth River below Lake Leake is expected to remain above the minor flood level during Monday.
Isis River:
River levels are elevated along the Isis River.
Macquarie River - Elizabeth River to Lake River:
Moderate flooding is expected along the Macquarie River - Elizabeth River to Lake River.
The Macquarie River at Morningside is currently at 5.32 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
The Macquarie River at Morningside is expected to reach the moderate flood level (5.50 m) Monday morning. The river level may peak near 5.60 metres Monday afternoon. Further rises are possible.
Lake River:
Strong river rises are occurring along the Lake River, with Minor Flooding at Parknook.
Macquarie River - Lake River to Longford:
Minor flooding may occur along the Macquarie River - Lake River to Longford.
The Macquarie River at Cressy Pumps is currently at 1.63 metres and steady.
The Macquarie River at Cressy Pumps may reach the minor flood level (3.00 m) during Tuesday.

LOCATIONS ALONG THE HUON RIVER HAVE FALLEN BELOW THE MINOR FLOOD LEVELS.
Locations along the Huon River peaked on Sunday evening and have fallen below the minor flood level.
Showers are forecast for the next few days which may keep river levels elevated as the Huon River catchment is saturated.
Huon River above Tahune:
River levels along the Huon River at Harrisons Opening peaked on Sunday evening and is currently below the minor flood level and falling.
Picton River:
River levels along the Picton River have peaked on Sunday evening and are falling.
Huon River - Tahune to Judbury:
No further flooding is expected in the Huon River - Tahune to Judbury.
The Huon River at Tahune Bridge peaked at 5.01 metres around 07:00 pm Sunday 14 August and is currently at 2.60 metres (below minor) and falling.
The Huon River at Judbury peaked at 4.45 metres around 09:00 pm Sunday 14 August and is currently at 3.38 metres (below minor) and falling.
Huon River around Huonville:
No further flooding is expected in the Huon River around Huonville.
The Huon River at Huonville is currently at 2.40 metres below the minor flood level and peaking on the high tide.
