Strong Wind Warning for the following areas:
Derwent Estuary, Frederick Henry Bay and Norfolk Bay, Storm Bay, Channel, Central Plateau Lakes, Far North West Coast, Banks Strait and Franklin Sound, East of Flinders Island, Upper East Coast, Lower East Coast and South East Coast

Final Flood Warning For The North Esk River
Issued at 10:22 AM AEST on Wednesday 17 September 2025
Flood Warning Number: 3

MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT CORRA LINN
River levels along the North Esk River at Corra Linn peaked below the minor flood level and are expected to remain below the minor flood level.

Upper North Esk River:
River levels remain low along the upper North Esk River.
Lower North Esk River around Corra Linn:
Minor flooding is no longer expected along the Lower North Esk River around Corra Linn.
The North Esk River at Corra Linn is currently at 2.11 m and steady, below the minor flood level (2.7 m).
The North Esk River at Corra Linn is expected to remain below the minor flood level.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
