Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for East Gippsland, North East and West and South Gippsland Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms have eased across Gippsland districts.
Weather Situation
A warm and unstable air mass under an upper-level trough is promoting thunderstorms over Gippsland districts this afternoon.
cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas:
East Gippsland, North East and West and South Gippsland
This warning is now cancelled. Thunderstorms continue over the eastern ranges and are expected to gradually ease into the evening. Slight risk of further severe thunderstorms in the next one to two hours - severe thunderstorm warnings will be issued if required.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live.
* Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.
