MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT THE GORGE AND MINOR OCCURRING AT WEERAGUA
Moderate to heavy rainfall since Tuesday morning has caused river level rises across the East Gippsland river catchments. Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment during Thursday, however significant rainfall totals are not expected.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Cann River at Weeragua, and moderate flooding continues along the Genoa River at The Gorge.
Bemm River:
River levels are elevated along the Bemm River.
Cann River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Cann River.
The Cann River at Chandlers Creek peaked at 2.33 m around 11:00 pm Wednesday, with moderate flooding. The river level is currently at 1.76 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Cann River at Chandlers Creek is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.00 m).
The Cann River at Weeragua peaked at 4.09 m around 01:15 am Thursday, with major flooding. The river level is currently at 3.29 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Cann River at Weeragua is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) Thursday afternoon.
Genoa River:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Genoa River.
The Genoa River at The Gorge peaked at 2.57 m around 03:45 am Thursday, with moderate flooding. The river level is currently at 2.44 m and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Genoa River at The Gorge is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (2.20 m) Thursday afternoon.

GLENALADALE LIKELY TO PEAK NEAR THE MAJOR FLOOD LEVEL THURSDAY AFTERNOON
Moderate to heavy rainfall since Tuesday morning has caused river level rises and flooding across the Mitchell River catchment. Moderate flooding is rising at Glenaladale, with a peak near the major flood level likely Thursday afternoon. Minor flooding is likely to develop at Bairnsdale from Thursday afternoon, with a minor flood peak expected overnight Thursday into Friday.
Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment during Thursday, however significant rainfall totals are not expected.
The situation will continue to be monitored closely and this warning will be updated as required.
Wonnangatta River:
River level rises and isolated minor flooding are occurring along the Wonnangatta River.
Mitchell River to Glenaladale:
Major flooding is likely along the Mitchell River at Glenaladale.
The Mitchell River at Glenaladale is currently at 5.09 m and rising, with moderate flooding.
The Mitchell River at Glenaladale is likely to peak near the major flood level (5.50 m) Thursday afternoon.
Mitchell River downstream of Glenaladale:
Minor flooding is likely along the Mitchell River downstream of Glenaladale.
The Mitchell River at Bairnsdale is currently at 4.91 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Mitchell River at Bairnsdale is likely to exceed the minor flood level (5.60 m) Thursday afternoon. The river may reach around 6.00 m overnight Thursday into Friday, with minor flooding.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BASIN CREEK AND EXPECTED AT JARRAHMOND LATE THURSDAY MORNING
Moderate to heavy rainfall since Tuesday morning has caused river level rises across the Snowy River catchment. Minor flooding occurring at Basin Creek and is expected at Jarrahmond late Thursday morning.
Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Thursday, which may cause further river level rises. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as necessary.
Snowy River downstream of McKillops Bridge:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Snowy River downstream of McKillops Bridge.
The Snowy River at Basin Creek is currently at 3.46 m and rising, just below the minor flood level.
The Snowy River at Basin Creek is expected to exceed the minor flood level (3.50 m) early Thursday morning. The river is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.50 m) during Thursday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
The Snowy River at Jarrahmond is currently at 3.82 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
