for Central, Mallee, Northern Country, North Central and North East Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms have now eased across the state.

Weather Situation
Thunderstorms persist across the state, though none are currently being assessed as severe. The situation is continuing to be monitored closely.

Central, Mallee, Northern Country, North Central and North East
This warning is now cancelled. Other warnings may be current. Please check www.bom.gov.au/australia/warnings/.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live.
* Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.

Warning to Sheep Graziers

for North Central, North East, South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts

Issued at 10:57 AM EDT on Sunday 26 October 2025

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
North Central, North East, South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and showers and southerly winds are expected during Monday. Areas likely to be affected include the East Gippsland forecast district and parts of the North Central, North East, South West, Central and West and South Gippsland forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

The next warning will be issued by 5:00 pm EDT Sunday.
