Warning to Sheep Graziers

for North Central, North East, Central and East Gippsland forecast districts

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
North Central, North East, Central and East Gippsland forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and southwesterly winds are expected during Wednesday and Thursday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the North Central, North East, Central and East Gippsland forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
Cancellation of Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Northern Country, South West and West and South Gippsland forecast districts
The Warning to Sheep Graziers for the Northern Country, South West and West and South Gippsland forecast districts has been cancelled.

The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am EST Thursday.

Coastal Hazard Warning
for ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES

for parts of Central, East Gippsland and West and South Gippsland Forecast Districts.

Abnormally High Tides for Victoria

Weather Situation
A deep low-pressure system in the Tasman Sea is generating strong to gale-force west to southwesterly winds, leading to elevated sea levels across central and eastern parts of the state.
ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES for the following areas:
Central, East Gippsland and West and South Gippsland
ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES may lead to sea water flooding of low-lying coastal areas east of Point Lonsdale, including Port Phillip. Tides are likely to rise WELL ABOVE the normal high tide mark during this evening high tides.
Abnormally high tide conditions are expected to ease overnight for Central Coast locations, including Port Phillip, and during Thursday morning for remaining coastal areas.
Locations which may be affected include Geelong, Melbourne, Inverloch, Port Albert, Silverleaves, Frankston and Lakes Entrance.


The Victoria State Emergency Service and Life Saving Victoria advise that people should be aware of the following:
* Do not walk, ride or drive through flood waters.
* Stay away from beaches, tidal rivers and creeks.
* If you have a boat or water craft, haul out if possible or check your moorings are secure.
* Keep away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
* Stay informed - monitor weather warnings and forecasts at the Bureau of Meteorology website, and warnings through VicEmergency app, website and hotline (1800 226 226).

The next Coastal Hazard Warning will be issued by 5:00 am AEST Thursday.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.
