Severe Brown Rot Advice for the following areas:
North East forecast district
Stone fruit growers in parts of the North East forecast district are advised that rainfall and accompanying high humidity during Wednesday are conducive to a heavy outbreak of brown rot.
Brown Rot Advice for the following areas:
Northern Country, North Central and East Gippsland forecast districts
Stone fruit growers in parts of the Northern Country, North Central and East Gippsland forecast districts are advised that rainfall and accompanying high humidity during Wednesday may be conducive to an outbreak of brown rot.
Cancellation for the following areas:
Mallee,Central,West and South Gippsland

The next warning will be issued by 11:00 am EDT Wednesday.

Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning

for Central, South West, North Central and Wimmera Forecast Districts.

Issued at 3:38 am Wednesday, 27 November 2024.

Heavy falls with thunderstorms in the southwest have eased, moderate falls may still occur with storms across the southwest and central parts of the State.

Weather Situation
A moist and unstable airmass ahead of an approaching trough is causing severe thunderstorms early this morning.
cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas:
Central, South West, North Central and Wimmera
The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.
107km/h wind gust was recorded at Nhill Airport at 23:00 AEDT.
20.2 mm rainfall was recorded at Yanac North Comparison in 30 minutes to 23:00 AEDT.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live.
* Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.
