for East Gippsland, North East and West and South Gippsland Forecast Districts.

Damaging winds about the eastern Alpine areas have eased.

Weather Situation
The strong northwesterly flow associated with the passage of a cold front earlier today has now eased and damaging winds are no longer expected.

East Gippsland, North East and West and South Gippsland
This warning is now cancelled. Other warnings may be current. Please check https://www.bom.gov.au/weather-and-climate/warnings-and-alerts/.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live.
* Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.

for East Gippsland, North East and West and South Gippsland Forecast Districts.

Wind gusts in Victoria are no longer severe.

Weather Situation
A front moving through eastern parts of the state did trigger a line of showers and thunderstorms which was moving to the east. The strong winds aloft are no longer present so the remaining showers and storms are no longer likely to produce damaging wind gusts.
