for parts of South Coast, Southern Tablelands and Illawarra Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall for parts of the Southern Tablelands and South Coast this evening.
Weather Situation
Upper atmospheric instability is combining with a moist airmass to produce severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall this evening.
HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Illawarra, South Coast and Southern Tablelands
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Braidwood.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Riverina district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

Riverina
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* If you are trapped by flash flooding, seek refuge in the highest available place and ring 000 if you need rescue.
* Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well.

The next warning is due to be issued by 12:15 am Sunday.

Thunderstorms possibly severe with large hail in the SE in the afternoon and early evening. Winds N/NE 15 to 20 km/h becoming light in the middle of the day then becoming SE/SW 15 to 20 km/h in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to around 20 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 30s.
