Severe thunderstorms have eased over eastern Victoria.
Weather Situation
A warm and unstable air mass under an upper-level trough is promoting thunderstorms over central and eastern Victoria this afternoon.

East Gippsland
This warning is now cancelled. Thunderstorms are currently continuing over eastern Victoria with further thunderstorm development possible over central districts this afternoon. Severe thunderstorms remain possible and further warnings will be issued as required.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live.
* Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.
