MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ALONG THE AVON RIVER AT STRATFORD FROM LATE THURSDAY MORNING
Moderate to heavy rainfall since Tuesday has caused river level rises along the Avon River. Minor flooding is possible at Stratford from late Thursday morning.
Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment during the remainder of Thursday. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as necessary.
Avon River:
Minor flooding is possible along the Avon River at Stratford.
The Avon River at Stratford is currently at 3.74 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Avon River at Stratford may reach around the minor flood level (4.50 m) late Thursday morning.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
