Fire Weather Warning

for Mallee and Wimmera fire weather districts

Weather Situation
Fresh north to northwesterly winds will combine with hot and dry conditions leading to elevated fire dangers on Saturday over western parts of the state. A milder southwesterly change reaching the west during the afternoon. Rain, showers and possible thunderstorms developing in the west from the late morning.

The CFA advises that you:
Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
Monitor the fire and weather situation through ABC Local Radio, commercial and designated community radio stations, or Sky News TV, www.emergency.vic.gov.au and www.bom.gov.au.
Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.

Brown Rot Advice for the following areas:
Wimmera and South West forecast districts
Stone fruit growers in parts of the Wimmera and South West forecast districts are advised that rainfall and accompanying high humidity late in the day on Saturday may be conducive to an outbreak of brown rot.

The next warning will be issued by 11:00 am EDT Saturday.
