Heavy rainfall has eased with isolated thunderstorm activity continuing this morning
Weather Situation
Very high moisture links with a frontal system moving across the state this morning. Widespread heavy rainfall has eased with only isolated thunderstorms expected.

Central, East Gippsland, North Central, North East and West and South Gippsland
This warning is now cancelled.
Although the threat of widespread heavy rainfall has passed, isolated heavy falls in thunderstorms is still possible in northern and eastern areas of the state this morning. A separate Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued if heavy rainfall is expected. 53.6 MM WAS RECORDED AT POLEY RANGE IN THE 3 HOURS TO 9:15 PM.
42 mm was recorded at Mt St Leonard in the 2 hours to 9:15 pm.
26.8 mm was recorded at Glencairn in the 30 minutes to 3:12 pm.
22.2 mm was recorded at Konagaderra in the 30 minutes to 2:45 pm.
32.2 mm was recorded at Gisborne in the 1 hour 2:24 pm.
38.4 mm was recorded at Spring Hill in the 1 hour 15 minutes to 2:00 pm.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live.
* Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.
