for Central, North Central, South West, West and South Gippsland and Wimmera fire weather districts

Weather Situation
A hot day with fresh north to northwest winds will drive Extreme fire dangers on Tuesday. A gusty west to southwest change will reach the west in the early afternoon and central districts by early evening. There is also the risk of thunderstorms with damaging winds on and behind the wind change.

A thunderstorm likely, possibly severe with damaging winds and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding in the morning and afternoon. Winds N/NE 25 to 35 km/h increasing to 45 km/h before shifting W/SW 25 to 40 km/h in the early afternoon, then decreasing to 20 to 30 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 19 and 22 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 30s.
