Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, North Interior and South Interior
Safety Advice:
Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
Maximum temperatures generally in the low to mid forties reaching high forties in parts of northwest WA, easing to the low to mid thirties across affected parts of southern WA by Friday. Overnight minimum temperatures in the high teens to mid twenties reaching high twenties in parts of northwest WA, easing to the mid teens across affected parts of southern WA by Friday.
Severe heatwave conditions are peaking about the south of WA and are expected to contract northward Thursday and Friday. Locations likely to be impacted include Exmouth, Laverton, Leinster, Leonora, Meekatharra, Paraburdoo, Wiluna and Warburton.
