Minor Flood Warning For The Upper Swan River

MINOR FLOODING TO CONTINUE AT WALYUNGA INTO THE WEEKEND
Rainfall over the past few days across the Swan and Avon River catchments, has caused river level rises along the tributaries of the upper Swan River. Minor flooding is occurring at Walyunga with further rises expected over the next few days as upstream floodwaters arrive. No significant flooding is expected further downstream along the Swan River.
No significant rainfall is expected over the catchment area for the next few days.
Swan River upstream of Walyunga:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Swan River to Walyunga.
The Swan River at Walyunga is currently at 4.05 metres and rising with minor flooding.
The Swan River at Walyunga is expected to remain above the minor flood level (3.50 m) into the weekend.
Swan River downstream of Walyunga:
No flooding is expected along the Swan River downstream of Walyunga.

DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.}
