FLOODING EASING ACROSS THE FORTESCUE, ASHBURTON AND GASCOYNE RIVER CATCHMENTS
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Zelia continues to weaken whilst moving over the northeast Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields today, where it will dissipate on Monday. A broad low pressure trough extends from Ex-Zelia across the Kimberley.
Flood warnings are current for the De Grey River and Sandy Desert catchments.
Some isolated areas of heavy rainfall have been observed across the flood watch area.
The chance of showers and storms remains over parts of the flood watch area during the next few days. However, forecast rainfall totals are not expected to cause significant areas of flooding.
Areas of flooding are easing across the flood watch area, however, disruption to road networks may be still be occurring particularly in areas where the heaviest rainfall was recorded.
Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchments:
Fortescue River
Ashburton River
Gascoyne River

Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.
