Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for Lower West, South West, Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt districts.

Thunderstorms have eased over the South West and Lower West.
Weather Situation
An upper level trough moved inland overnight, bringing periods of heavy rainfall. Isolated thunderstorms with moderate rainfall are still ongoing near the coast but are no longer expected to be severe.

70 mm WAS RECORDED AT LUDLOW THE 3 HOURS TO 7:30 PM
69 mm WAS RECORDED AT HAPPY VALLEY (BUSSELTON) 3 HOURS TO 7:30 pm
52 mm WAS RECORDED AT RAVENSCLIFFE THE 2 HOURS TO 7:30 pm
50 mm was recorded in 2 hours to 5:30 pm at Vasse Highway near Busselton
25 mm was recorded in 30 minutes to 12:45 am at Jarrahdale
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Keep away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
* Be careful of fallen trees, damaged buildings and debris.
* Be careful of fallen power lines. They are dangerous and should always be treated as live.
* Assess your home, car and property for damage.
* If damage has occurred take photos and contact your insurance company to organise permanent repairs.
* If your home or property has significant damage, like a badly damaged roof or flooding, call the SES on 132 500.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.
