for Pilbara and Gascoyne districts.

Storms to continue into the evening in the Pilbara and Gascoyne, but are no longer expected to be severe.
Weather Situation
A very hot and unstable airmass supported the development of a cluster of severe thunderstorms over the inland Pilbara earlier this afternoon. Scattered storms are expected to continue over parts of the Pilbara and Gascoyne into the evening, but at this stage are no longer likely to be severe.

This warning is now cancelled. The situation will be closely monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.
A 126 km/h GUST WAS RECORDED AT BARIMUNYA AIRPORT at 2:28 pm WST
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Keep away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
* Be careful of fallen trees, damaged buildings and debris.
* Be careful of fallen power lines. They are dangerous and should always be treated as live.
* Assess your home, car and property for damage.
* If damage has occurred take photos and contact your insurance company to organise permanent repairs.
* If your home or property has significant damage, like a badly damaged roof or flooding, call the SES on 132 500.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.
