MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT ABERGOWRIE BRIDGE AND HALIFAX DURING SATURDAY MORNING
 MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT INGHAM PUMP STATION AND GAIRLOCH SATURDAY MORNING AND POSSIBLE AT GLENEAGLE SATURDAY AFTERNOON
 Significant rainfall has been observed during this week with over 500 mm being recorded in parts of the Herbert River catchment since Monday. Heavy rainfall is forecast to continue for the remainder of Friday and through the weekend, which is expected to result in river and creek level rises and flooding across the catchment.
 Moderate flooding is likely at Abergowrie Bridge and Halifax during Saturday morning, minor flooding at Ingham Pump Station and Gairloch Saturday morning, and Gleneagle Saturday afternoon. Further river level rises are likely with forecast rainfall. The situation is being closely monitored and warnings will be updated as required.
 A Flood Watch is current for coastal and adjacent inland catchments south of Cairns to Mackay, and a Severe Weather Warning is current for parts of the North Tropical Coast, Tablelands, Herbert and Lower Burdekin.

Herbert River to Nash's Crossing:
Minor flooding may occur along the Herbert River to Nash's Crossing.
There are no observations available for the Herbert River at Gleneagle, however, based on the nearby automatic gauge it is expected that the river level is below the minor flood level and rising slowly.
The Herbert River at Gleneagle may reach the minor flood level (4.50 m) Saturday afternoon.

Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing:
Moderate flooding is likely along the Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing.
The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge is currently at 4.10 metres and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge is likely to exceed the minor flood level (6.00 m) overnight Friday into Saturday. The river level is likely to reach the moderate flood level (10.00 m) Saturday morning.

The Herbert River at Ingham Pump Station is currently at 4.84 metres and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Herbert River at Ingham Pump Station is likely to reach the minor flood level (10.00 m) Saturday morning.

The Herbert River at Gairloch is currently at 4.39 metres and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Herbert River at Gairloch is likely to reach the minor flood level (9.50 m) Saturday morning.

The Herbert River at Halifax is currently at 2.26 metres and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Herbert River at Halifax is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) overnight Friday into Saturday. The river level is likely to reach the moderate flood level (4.50 m) Saturday morning.
