    Flood Warning Number: 13

FLOODWATERS ARRIVING AT COOGIE LAKES AND WALKERS CROSSING
FLOODWATERS FLOWING INTO SOUTH AUSTRALIA ALONG THE DIAMANTINA RIVER
Creek levels along Cooper Creek at Cullyamurra Waterhole are currently falling slowly, below the Feb 1974 flood level (11.85 m). Further upstream in Queensland, major flooding is easing at Durham Downs and expected to be continuing at Nappa Merrie following major flood peaks recorded earlier this month. Floodwaters are arriving at Coogie Lakes and Walkers Crossing.
The main floodwaters on the Diamantina River are flowing into South Australia. Major flooding is easing along the Diamantina River at Birdsville near the South Australia border. The river levels are expected to remain elevated for an extended period of time.
Floodwaters may cut roads and access tracks, and in particular river crossings, impacting travel in the region.
Further upstream in Queensland multiple flood peaks are making their way through the Eyre Creek and Georgina River, however at this stage these floodwaters are not expected to significantly impact flood levels in South Australia.
Flood Warnings are current for the Georgina River, Eyre Creek, Diamantina River and Cooper Creek in Queensland.

    Warburton:
River levels along the Warburton River at Poothapoota Waterhole are around 1.22 metres and rising. Renewed river level rises and areas of flooding are likely along the Warburton River in the coming weeks.
