Valid for Thursday 30 January 2025 to Sunday 02 February 2025

Warning for the following areas:
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, North Interior, Central West and Central Wheat Belt
Cancellation for the following areas:
Great Southern

Safety Advice::
 Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
 Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
 Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
 If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.

Maximum temperatures in the low to mid forties, potentially reaching the high forties over the Gascoyne during the weekend. Overnight minimum temperatures mostly in the low to high twenties but reaching the low thirties at times about the Gascoyne.  

Extreme heatwave conditions have peaked over WA though small pockets remain over the Gascoyne and North Interior which may extend over broader areas into the weekend.  

Severe heatwave conditions will persist across broad areas of central and inland WA through till at least early next week, and will extend to include parts of the southeast from tomorrow.  Locations likely to be impacted include Exmouth, Kalgoorlie, Laverton, Leonora, Meekatharra, Mount Magnet, Morawa, Newman, Paraburdoo and Wiluna.

The next heatwave warning will be issued by 2:00pm WST on Friday 31 January 2025
