Strong Wind Warning for the following areas:
Sydney Enclosed Waters, Macquarie Coast, Hunter Coast, Sydney Coast and Illawarra Coast

TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST

Detailed Severe Thunderstorm Warning

for Wollondilly/Wingecarribee and Greater Wollongong areas.

Issued at 3:53 pm Saturday, 8 November 2025.

Warning for the following areas:
New South Wales Anonymous Locale 1
Severe thunderstorms in the warning area have temporarily eased. However, the redevelopment of severe thunderstorms remains possible. The situation is being closely monitored and further detailed warnings will be issued as necessary.
3.5 cm hail reported at Shellharbour at approximately 12:20 pm.
Cancellation for the following areas:
Wollondilly/Wingecarribee,Wollongong

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the SES (NSW and ACT) on 132 500.
A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for the Hunter and parts of the Mid North Coast, Central Tablelands, North West Slopes and Plains and Northern Tablelands districts.

The next warning is due to be issued by 4:55 pm.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.
