Thunderstorms have eased in the northeast.
cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas:
Mid North Coast, Hunter, Central Tablelands, North West Slopes and Plains, Central West Slopes and Plains, Upper Western and Northern Tablelands
This warning is now cancelled.
40 mm rainfall was recorded at Purlewaugh in 30 min to 3:45 pm.
37.5 mm rainfall was recorded at Tambar Springs in 30 min to 16:30 pm.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.

The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening, possibly severe with damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding.
