Rainfall rates have eased over northwest NSW

Weather Situation
A tropical low over the southern Northern Territory will drift to the west today. A somewhat drier and more stable airmass has spread over the northwest of NSW.
cancellation of severe weather warning for the following areas:
Upper Western
This warning is now cancelled.
Flood Watches and Warnings remain current for the area. Please refer to https://www.bom.gov.au/weather-and-climate/warnings-and-alerts/ for more information.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Don't walk, ride or drive through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUES AT WILLARA CROSSING
MINOR FLOODING IS LIKELY AT WANAARING FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING
Minor flooding continues at Willara Crossing. Local heavy rainfall across the Paroo River catchment (NSW) has caused significant river level rises at Wanaaring where minor flooding is likely from Wednesday evening.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast across the catchment over the next few days, which may lead to additional river level rises. This situation is being monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A minor flood warning is current for the Paroo River in Queensland. A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rain is current for parts of the Paroo River catchment.

Paroo River (NSW):
Minor flooding is occurring at Willara Crossing, and likely at Wanaaring.

The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is currently at 1.26 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is likely to reach 1.50 m around Friday, with minor flooding.

The Paroo River at Wanaaring is currently at 2.36 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Paroo River at Wanaaring is likely to exceed the minor flood level (2.40 m) Wednesday evening. Further rises to 2.60 m are possible in coming days as upstream flows arrive.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
