MINOR FLOODING CONTINUES AT SUSSEX INLET ON THE TIDE UNTIL FRIDAY
Minor flooding continues at Sussex Inlet on the tide until Friday. River levels at Island Point Road have fallen below the minor flood level and are expected to remain below the minor flood level.
No significant rainfall totals are forecast over the next few days.
St Georges Basin:
Minor flooding is occurring at Sussex Inlet on the tide. River level at Island Point Road has fallen below the minor flood level.
The St Georges Basin at Island Point peaked at 1.25 m around 06:00 pm Wednesday 2 July, with minor flooding. The water level is currently at 1.17 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The St Georges Basin at Island Point is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.20 m).
The Sussex Inlet is currently at 0.93 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Sussex Inlet is likely to remain above the minor flood level (0.90 m) during Thursday into Friday.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

Weather Situation
A series of low pressure systems remain in the Tasman Sea. A secondary low that was moving northwards just offshore from the NSW coast has begun to weaken. Strong to gale force south to southwesterly winds around these lows are still generating large and powerful south to southeasterly waves today, but these are no longer expected to be damaging.

Surf and swell conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, boating, and swimming in the following areas.

NSW Police Force, Marine Area Command advise that:
People should consider staying out of the water and avoid walking near surf-exposed areas.
Rock fishers should avoid coastal rock platforms exposed to the ocean and seek a safe location that is sheltered from the surf.
Boaters planning to cross shallow water and ocean bars should consider changing or delaying their voyage.
Boaters already on the water should carry the appropriate safety equipment and wear a lifejacket.
Boaters should remember to log on with their local Marine Rescue radio base, via VHF Radio or the Marine Rescue APP, and consider their safety management plan.

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT PENRITH AND NORTH RICHMOND FROM EARLY THURSDAY MORNING
A vigorous low pressure system has resulted in moderate to heavy rainfall over the Hawkesbury Nepean River catchment during Tuesday into Wednesday. This has resulted in river level rises along the Hawkesbury and Nepean Rivers.
Minor flooding is possible at Penrith and North Richmond from early Thursday morning.
Minor flooding is no longer occurring at Menangle.
Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Wednesday into Thursday. The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
Upper Nepean River:
Minor flooding is no longer occurring along the Upper Nepean River at Menangle.
The Nepean River at Menangle Bridge peaked at 5.92 m around 03:45 pm Wednesday 2 July, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 5.03 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Nepean River at Menangle Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.20 m).
The Nepean River at Camden Weir peaked below the minor flood level and is currently at 3.54 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Nepean River at Camden Weir is expected to remain below the minor flood level (6.80 m).
Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean River.
The Nepean River at Penrith is currently at 2.19 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Nepean River at Penrith may reach around the minor flood level (3.90 m) early Thursday morning.
The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond WPS is currently at 1.04 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond WPS may exceed the minor flood level (3.80 m) early Thursday morning. The river may reach around 4.50 m Thursday morning, with minor flooding.

Moderate to heavy rainfall from Tuesday afternoon has caused significant river level rises across the Shoalhaven River and its tributaries. Minor flooding is occurring at Nowra and Terara.
Further rainfall is possible across the catchment for the reminder of Wednesday into Thursday, which may cause further river level rises. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as necessary.
Shoalhaven River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Shoalhaven River.
The Shoalhaven River at Nowra is currently at 2.32 m AHD and rising, with minor flooding.
The Shoalhaven River at Nowra is likely to peak around 2.40 m AHD around Wednesday evening with minor flooding.
The Shoalhaven River at Terara is currently at 2.20 m AHD and rising, with minor flood level.
The Shoalhaven River at Terara is likely to peak around the 2.30 m AHD Wednesday evening with minor flooding.
