MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT NARRABRI AND LIKELY AT WEE WAA FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING
Along the Namoi River at Narrabri, major flooding is occurring. As floodwaters move downstream, major flooding is likely at Wee Waa from Wednesday evening.
Minor flooding may develop at Bugilbone during Sunday.
Minor flooding is likely at Goangra from Thursday, driven by local flood waters ahead of the arrival of the main flood peak from upstream.
Namoi River:
Minor to major flooding is occurring along the Namoi River.
The Namoi River at Gunnedah is currently at 7.57 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Gunnedah is likely to fall below the moderate flood level (7.60 m) Wednesday evening. The river may remain above the minor flood level (7.30 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
The Namoi River at Boggabri is currently at 7.93 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Boggabri may fall below the minor flood level (7.00 m) early Friday morning.
The Narrabri Creek at Narrabri is nearing a peak and is currently at 7.08 m and rising, with major flooding.
The Narrabri Creek at Narrabri is likely to peak near 7.10 m Wednesday evening, with major flooding. The creek is expected to remain above the major flood level (6.70 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
The Namoi River at Glencoe Wee Waa is currently at 6.57 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Namoi River at Glencoe Wee Waa is likely to exceed the major flood level (6.70 m) Wednesday evening. The river may reach around 7.00 m from late Thursday morning, with major flooding.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone is currently at 4.44 m and steady, below the minor flood level.

A minor flood peak was observed Tuesday afternoon at Goondiwindi. Minor flooding is easing along the Macintyres River, with river levels to fall below the minor flood level Wednesday afternoon. River levels at Boggabri peaked below the minor flood level Tuesday afternoon.

Minor flooding is occurring along the Macintyre River at Goondiwindi.
The Macintyre River at Boggabilla peaked at 4.69 m around 02:15 pm Tuesday 5 August, below the minor flood level (5.00 m). The river is currently at 3.87 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Macintyre River at Boggabilla is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m). No further flooding is expected.
The Macintyre River at Goondiwindi peaked at 4.93 m around 04:00 pm Tuesday 5 August, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 4.39 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Macintyre River at Goondiwindi is likely to fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) Wednesday afternoon.

The Wollombi Brook at Bulga is currently at 3.09 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Wollombi Brook at Bulga is likely to fall below the minor flood level (3.00 m) later Wednesday afternoon or evening.
Lower Hunter:
Minor flooding is occurring at Maitland.
The Hunter River at Maitland Belmore Bridge is currently at 6.52 m AHD and falling, with minor flooding.
The Hunter River at Maitland Belmore Bridge is likely to fall below the minor flood level (5.90 m AHD) later Wednesday afternoon or evening.
