Weather Situation
Severe thunderstorms have eased.
cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas:
Northern Rivers, Mid North Coast, Central West Slopes and Plains, Riverina and Northern Tablelands
This warning is now cancelled. Other warnings may be current. Please check www.bom.gov.au/australia/warnings/.
45mm in 30 min at Woronora Dam at 7:17 pm.
4 cm hailstones were observed at Fitzroy Falls at 6:00pm.
3 cm hail reported at Moss Vale around 5:30 pm.
2-3 cm hailstones were observed at Glenquarry at 5:15pm.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* Stay vigilant and monitor conditions. Note that the landscape may have changed following bushfires.
* For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the SES (NSW and ACT) on 132 500.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.

A thunderstorm likely, possibly severe with damaging winds winds, large hail and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding in the afternoon and evening. Destructive winds and giant hail also a risk in the N. Winds NW/NE 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 11 and 18 with daytime temperatures reaching 21 to 27.
