Minor Flood Warning For The Namoi River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT WEE WAA (GLENCOE) OVERNIGHT SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY
The Namoi River at Narrabri peaked below the minor flood level Saturday morning.
Further downstream, minor flooding is possible at Wee Waa (Glencoe) overnight Saturday into Sunday.
No significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.

Namoi River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe).
The Narrabri Creek at Narrabri peaked at 3.63 metres around 07:00 am Saturday 31 May and is currently at 3.61 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (4.90 m).
The Narrabri Creek at Narrabri is expected to remain below the minor flood level.

The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) is currently at 5.00 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (5.30 m).
The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) may peak near the minor flood level overnight Saturday into Sunday.

Flood Safety Advice:
In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
* Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
* Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}

FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT TAREE AND CROKI
River levels at Taree and Croki Wharf are expected to remain below the minor flood levels.
No significant rainfall is forecast across the Manning River catchment for the next few days.

Manning River:
Flooding is no longer expected at Taree and Croki.
The Manning River at Taree peaked at 1.37 metres around midnight Friday into Saturday with the high tide and is currently at -0.16 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (1.80 m).
The Manning River at Taree is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.80 m).

The Manning River at Croki Wharf peaked at 1.27 metres around midnight Friday into Saturday and is currently at -0.07 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (1.50 m).
The Manning River at Croki Wharf is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.50 m).

MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT MAITLAND
Upstream peaks along the Hunter River have travelled downstream and flooding is no longer expected at Maitland (Belmore Bridge).
No significant rainfall is forecast for next few days.

Lower Hunter:
Flooding is no longer expected in the Lower Hunter.
The Hunter River at Maitland (Belmore Bridge) is currently at 4.62 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (5.90 m).
The Hunter River at Maitland (Belmore Bridge) is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.90 m).
