MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT GUNNEDAH AND POSSIBLE AT WEE WAA FROM MID WEEK
The flood peak along the Namoi River is now at Gunnedah, where major flooding is occurring.
As flood waters move downstream, minor flooding is occurring at Boggabri and moderate flooding is possible at Narrabri during Wednesday. Major flooding is possible at Wee Waa overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Minor flooding may develop at Bugilbone during Wednesday.
Upstream minor flooding is continuing along the Namoi River at Carroll Village.
Forecasts downstream of Gunnedah will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.
Along the Peel River, river levels at Tamworth fell below the minor flood level Monday evening.
Peel River:
Flooding is no longer occurring at Tamworth.
The Peel River at Tamworth is currently at 2.84 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Peel River at Tamworth is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m).
Namoi River:
Minor to major flooding is occurring along the Namoi River.
The Namoi River at Carroll Village was at 8.60 m and falling at 8:00 am Monday morning, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Carroll Village may fall below the minor flood level (8.20 m) Tuesday morning.
The Namoi River at Gunnedah is currently at 8.46 m and near its peak, with major flooding.
The Namoi River at Gunnedah is likely to remain above the major flood level (7.90 m) until Wednesday evening.
The Namoi River at Boggabri is currently at 7.49 m and rising, above the minor flood level (7.00 m).
The Namoi River at Boggabri may reach around 8.30 m Wednesday morning, with minor flooding.
The Narrabri Creek at Narrabri is currently at 4.10 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Narrabri Creek at Narrabri is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.90 m) Tuesday afternoon. The creek may reach around the moderate flood level (6.40 m) during Wednesday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
The Namoi River at Glencoe Wee Waa is currently at 5.82 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Glencoe Wee Waa may exceed the moderate flood level (6.40 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. The river may reach around the major flood level (6.70 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

The Hunter River at Singleton peaked Monday afternoon, with minor flooding continuing. The main flood peak along the Hunter River is now approaching Maitland, where river levels are likely to peak Tuesday morning, with minor flooding occurring. Further downstream, minor flooding continues at Raymond Terrace.
Along the Wollombi Brook, moderate flooding is occurring at Bulga, with a moderate flood peak likely overnight Monday into Tuesday.

Moderate flooding is occurring at Bulga.
The Wollombi Brook at Bulga is currently at 4.04 m and rising, with moderate flooding.
The Wollombi Brook at Bulga may peak near 4.30 m overnight Monday into Tuesday, with moderate flooding.

Moderate rainfall totals have been recorded across the Macintyre River catchment during the weekend, resulting in river level rises in the Dumaresq and Upper Macintyre Rivers.
The main flood peak along the Dumaresq River is approaching Glenarbon Weir, while the main flood peak along the Macintyre River is approaching Yetman. As these peaks move downstream minor flooding is possible at Goondiwindi overnight Monday into Tuesday.
