Very dangerous thunderstorms are no longer affecting Sydney and surrounding areas.
The immediate threat of very dangerous thunderstorms has passed. The situation will continue to be monitored closely and further very dangerous thunderstorm warnings will be issued, if necessary. A separate Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall remains current over the Sydney Metropolitan area and adjacent parts of the Illawarra and Blue Mountains. 105.0 MM OF RAINFALL WAS RECORDED AT LIDCOMBE IN THE 3 HOURS TO 8:15 PM.
70.6 mm was recorded at Bankstown Airport in the 3 hours to 8:15 pm.
68.6 mm was recorded at Canterbury in the 3 hours to 8:15 pm.
67.0 mm was recorded at Guildford in the 3 hours to 8:15 pm.
64.0 mm was recorded at Horsley Park in the 3 hours to 8:15 pm.
55.0 mm was recorded at Liverpool in the 3 hours to 8:15 pm.
