Moderate Flood Warning For Tuggerah Lake

MODERATE FLOOD PEAK NEAR 1.30 METRES POSSIBLE AROUND TUGGERAH LAKE TUESDAY AFTERNOON
Heavy rainfall was observed overnight Sunday into Monday in parts of the Wyong River and Tuggerah Lake with up to 165 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours to 9 am Monday. A further 10-30 mm of rainfall has been observed to 9 am Tuesday. This has caused minor flooding around Tuggerah Lake.
Lake levels are expected to continue to slowly rise during Tuesday morning, with a moderate flood peak possible early Tuesday afternoon at Long Jetty. Lake levels are expected to remain elevated for the next few weeks.
River levels are generally steady along the Wyong River, upstream of Tuggerah Lake.
Further showers are forecast for the remainder of Monday into Tuesday. The situation is being monitored and warnings will be updated as required.
Tuggerah Lake:
Moderate flooding may occur around the Tuggerah Lake.
The Tuggerah Lake at Long Jetty may peak near 1.30 metres early Tuesday afternoon, with moderate flooding.
