Minor Flood Warning For The Barwon And Darling Rivers

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BREWARRINA FROM FRIDAY, AT BOURKE DURING THE WEEKEND AND AT LOUTH FROM LATE NEXT WEEK
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WALGETT
The main flood peak along the Barwon River has now passed Walgett, where river levels peaked on Saturday 12 April and minor flooding continues. This flood peak may cause minor flooding at Brewarrina from around Friday.
Further downstream along the Darling River at Burke, minor flooding may develop during the weekend as inflows from the Culgoa and Bokhara Rivers combine with Barwon River flows. Minor flooding is possible at Louth from late next week as inflows from the Warrego River combines with the flows from Bourke.
Downstream predictions will be refined once upstream peaks have been observed.
Barwon River downstream of Collarenebri to Walgett:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Barwon River downstream of Collarenebri to Walgett.
The Barwon River at Walgett peaked at 11.74 metres Saturday morning, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 11.40 metres and falling slowly, above the minor flood level (10.50 m).
The Barwon River at Walgett is likely to remain above the minor flood level (10.50 m) until early next week.
Barwon River downstream of Walgett to Brewarrina:
Minor flooding may occur along the Barwon River downstream of Walgett to Brewarrina.
The Barwon River at Brewarrina is currently at 5.36 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (6.40 m).
The Barwon River at Brewarrina may reach the minor flood level (6.40 m) from Friday. The river level may reach around 6.70 metres early next week with minor flooding. Higher levels are possible as upstream flows arrive.
Barwon and Darling Rivers downstream of Brewarrina to Bourke:
Minor flooding may occur along the Barwon and Darling Rivers downstream of Brewarrina to Bourke.
The Darling River at Bourke is currently at 8.42 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (9.50 m).
The Darling River at Bourke may reach the minor flood level (9.50 m) during the weekend. The river level may reach around 10.30 metres late next week with minor flooding. Higher levels are possible as upstream flows arrive.
Darling River downstream of Bourke to Tilpa:
Minor flooding may occur along the Darling River downstream of Bourke to Tilpa.
The Darling River at Louth is currently at 6.92 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (8.60 m).
The Darling River at Louth may reach the minor flood level (8.60 m) late next week. Higher levels are possible as upstream flows arrive.

The main flood peak along the Culgoa River is currently at Kenebree, where moderate flooding is peaking. Upstream, minor flooding continues at Weilmoringle.
Along the Bokhara River, the main flood peak is currently at Goodwins, where moderate flooding is occurring.

Moderate flooding is continuing around Kenebree. Minor flooding is continuing around Weilmoringle.
The Culgoa River at Weilmoringle is currently at 5.24 metres and steady, above the minor flood level (5.20 m).

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT BARRINGUN, ENNGONIA AND FORDS BRIDGE
Floodwaters coming from Queensland have caused moderate flooding along the Warrego River at Barringun, Enngonia and Fords Bridge. Flood peaks are approaching Engonnia and Fords Bridge, where prolonged moderate flooding is expected.
A moderate flood warning is current for the Warrego River in Queensland.
Warrego River (NSW):
Moderate flooding is continuing along the Warrego River (NSW) between Barringun and Fords Bridge.
The Warrego River at Barringun No. 2 peaked at 4.63 metres around 02:15 am Tuesday 15 April. The river level is currently at 4.58 metres and steady, above the moderate flood level (3.80 m).
The Warrego River at Barringun No. 2 is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (3.80 m) for the next few days.
The Warrego River at Enngonia is currently at 2.58 metres and steady, above the moderate flood level (2.50 m).
The Warrego River at Enngonia may peak around 2.70 metres Friday, with moderate flooding. Prolonged flooding is likely as floodwaters arrive from upstream.
The Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash is currently at 2.66 metres and steady, above the moderate flood level (2.30 m).
