KATHERINE BRIDGE PEAKED JUST ABOVE MAJOR THURSDAY MORNING, MODERATE FLOODING NOW EASING
MODERATE FLOODING EASING AT NITMILUK CENTRE
Moderate flooding is easing along the Katherine River between Nitmiluk Centre and Katherine Bridge. A peak just above the major flood level was recorded at Katherine Bridge on Thursday morning, approximately 1.60 m lower than the major flood peak recorded earlier this month. The river level at Katherine Bridge is likely to fall below the moderate flood level overnight Thursday into Friday.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible over the next few days, however significant rainfall and significant renewed river level rises are not expected. The situation will be closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Katherine River Gorge Road:
Moderate flooding is easing along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is currently at 5.60 m and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is expected to fall below the moderate flood level (5.50 m) Thursday afternoon. The river may fall below the minor flood level (3.00 m) Friday evening.

Katherine Town:
Moderate flooding is easing along the Katherine River at Katherine Town.
The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge peaked at 17.58 m around 8:15 am Thursday, with major flooding. The river is currently at 17.39 m and falling slowly, with moderate flooding.
The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge is likely to fall below the moderate flood level (16.50 m) overnight Thursday into Friday. The river may fall below the minor flood level (16.00 m) Friday morning.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Final Flood Warning For The Waterhouse River And Flood Warning For The Roper River

FLOODING HAS EASED AT BESWICK BRIDGE
ELEVATED RIVER LEVELS AND AREAS OF FLOODING CONTINUING IN THE ROPER RIVER CATCHMENT
A peak around the minor flood level was recorded along the Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge Wednesday afternoon, following the earlier moderate flood peak recorded during the early hours of Tuesday. River levels are expected to continue easing over the next few days, with no further flooding expected along the Waterhouse River.
River levels in the Roper River catchment remain elevated, with areas of flooding continuing. Flood impacts are likely to continue for the next few days.
Further showers and thunderstorms are forecast over the next few days, but are not expected to cause significant renewed river level rises or worsen existing flooding. The situation will continue to be closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Waterhouse River:
No further flooding is expected along the Waterhouse River.
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge peaked around the minor flood level (7.70 m) Wednesday afternoon and is currently at 6.96 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (7.70 m).

Roper River below Elsey Creek:
River levels remain elevated throughout the Roper River catchment.

Major Flood Warning For The Daly River

PROLONGED MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT DALY RIVER POLICE STATION
A flood peak has passed Theyona Station and is approaching Beeboom Crossing. Prolonged major flooding is continuing along the Daly River at Daly River Police Station, where the river levels are expected to remain above the major flood level for the remainder of March. While recent rainfall has caused renewed rises in river levels, they are expected to remain well below levels recorded earlier in March.
Further upstream along the Katherine River major flooding is occurring at Katherine Bridge. As these flows move downstream, renewed river level rises are possible along the Daly River over the coming days.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast across the Daly River catchment over the next few days but are not expected to contribute significantly to riverine flows.
A major flood warning is current for the Katherine River.

Daly River above Douglas River:
River levels are elevated along the Daly River downstream of Dorisvale Crossing.
Lower Daly River:
Prolonged major flooding is continuing along the Daly River, with renewed rises possible over the coming days.
The Daly River at Daly River Police Station is currently at 14.52 m and steady, with major flooding.
The Daly River at Daly River Police Station is expected to remain above the major flood level (14.00 m) for the remainder of March. Renewed rises are possible over the coming days as upstream flows arrive.
