Weather Situation
A surface trough through central Queensland is triggering isolated severe thunderstorms.
LARGE HAILSTONES, DAMAGING WINDS and HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Capricornia and Wide Bay and Burnett
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones, damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Gladstone, Calliope and Miriam Vale.
55mm of rain in 30 minutes recorded at Poverty Hill (south of Ingham) at 3:35 pm.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin,North Tropical Coast and Tablelands,Central Coast and Whitsundays,Central Highlands and Coalfields
Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.

Final Flood Warning For The Middle Dawson River

BARALABA EXPECTED TO HAVE PEAKED BELOW MINOR FRIDAY EVENING, NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED
Storms over the last week caused renewed river level rises along the Dawson River between Theodore and Baralaba. River levels at Baralaba are expected to have peaked below the minor flood level during Friday evening, and no further flooding is expected.
Showers and storms are forecast over the weekend, which may cause small renewed river level rises. However at this stage these are expected to remain below minor flood levels.
Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
No further flooding is expected along the Dawson River at Baralaba.
No observations are currently available for the Dawson River at Baralaba (manual gauge). However based on the nearby automatic gauge the river level is estimated to have peaked below the minor flood level during Friday evening, and is expected to now be falling.
The Dawson River at Baralaba is expected to continue falling and to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m).

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
