This warning is now cancelled.
87 km/h mean winds and a 105km/h gust were observed at Cape Moreton Lighthouse at 9:48 pm Monday night.
Emergency services advise people to:
* Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous.
* Stay away from storm water drains.
* Stay away from fallen powerlines.
* Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way.
