MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT INKERMAN BRIDGE OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
MAJOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT SELLHEIM (MACROSSAN BRIDGE) AND TAEMAS
Recent heavy rainfall has resulted in river level rises along the Burdekin, Cape, Belyando and Suttor Rivers.
River level rises are occurring along the Cape River, where a major flood peak is likely to pass through Taemas on Sunday. River level rises are also occurring along the Belyando and Suttor Rivers. A moderate flood peak is likely to pass through St Anns Sunday night into Monday.
River level rises are occurring along the Burdekin River where major flooding continues at Sellheim. Moderate flooding is occurring at Burdekin Dam, Dalbeg, Clare and Inkerman Bridge. Major flooding is possible at Inkerman Bridge overnight Sunday into Monday.
Predictions for the lower Burdekin will be revised once the peak at Burdekin Falls Dam has been observed.
Further rainfall and thunderstorms are forecast over the next few days. A Severe Weather Warning is current for parts of the North Tropical Coast and Tablelands and Herbert and Lower Burdekin Forecast Districts.
The flood situation is being closely monitored and forecasts and warnings will be updated as required.
Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Suttor River at St Anns is currently at 6.90 metres and rising, with moderate flooding.
A moderate peak is likely in the Suttor River at St Anns overnight Sunday into Monday.
Cape River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Major flooding is occurring along the Cape River to Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Cape River at Taemas is currently at 8.31 metres and rising, with major flooding.
A major peak is expected in the Cape River at Taemas during Sunday.
Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Major flooding is likely along the Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim peaked at 17.28 metres around 12:31 pm Saturday 08 February and is currently at 14.95 metres and falling, just below the major flood level (15.00 m).
Renewed river level rises along the Burdekin River at Sellheim are expected to exceed the major flood level (15.00 m) during Sunday morning. River levels may reach around 16.70 metres Sunday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rain, however any further river levels are not expected to reach the levels seen earlier this month.
The Burdekin River at Burdekin Dam is currently at 5.88 metres and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Burdekin River at Burdekin Dam may reach around 6.30 metres early Sunday, with moderate flooding. Further rises possible with forecast rain.
Burdekin River downstream of Burdekin Falls Dam:
Major flooding may occur along the Burdekin River downstream of Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg is currently at 17.58 metres and rising, with moderate flooding.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg may reach around 18.20 metres Sunday morning, with moderate flooding. Further rises possible with forecast rain.
The Burdekin River at Clare is currently at 14.70 metres and steady, above the moderate flood level (13.00 m).
The Burdekin River at Clare may reach around 15.50 metres Sunday evening, with moderate flooding. Further rises possible with forecast rain.
The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge (manual gauge) was at 11.05 metres at 06:00pm and rising slowly, above the moderate flood level (10.00 m).
The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge may reach the major flood level (12.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday.

MAJOR FLOODING ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING AT WINTON
Heavy rainfall over the last several days has caused river level rises across the upper Diamantina River catchment.
Major flooding is estimated to be occurring along the Western River at Winton, with minor to moderate flooding occurring along the Diamantina River.
Shower and storms continued in the upper Diamantina River catchment, with rainfall totals of 20-85 mm recorded in the last 48 hours to 1:45 pm Saturday.
Showers and storms are possible in the upper Diamantina River catchment for the remainder of Saturday and into Sunday, which may cause renewed river level rises. The situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as necessary.
Predictions for downstream locations will be provided as upstream peaks are observed.
Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Diamantina River at Elerslie. Further downstream, minor flooding is continuing at Diamantina Lakes, with the river level currently being at 3.68 metres and rising, which is 1.58 metres above the level of the causeway on the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road (2.10 metres).
Western River:
Major flooding may be occurring along the Western River.
No recent river level observations are available for Winton. Based on nearby gauges, the river is estimated to be around the major flood level (3.00 metres) and rising.
The Western River at Winton may remain around the major flood level (3.50 m) during Saturday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

MINOR TO MAJOR FLOODING IS CURRENT ACROSS MULTIPLE CATCHMENTS IN THE NORTH TROPICAL COAST, CENTRAL COAST, GULF, AND LAKE EYRE BASIN.
FURTHER FLOODING IS POSSIBLE IN PARTS OF THE GULF COUNTRY AND WESTERN CAPE YORK PENINSULA CATCHMENTS OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS
A new wave of increased monsoonal activity is occurring across parts of northern Queensland extending to the tropical coast. The monsoon is expected to remain active through the weekend and early next week with widespread and heavy falls.
Catchments across the Flood Watch area are dry to wet in some areas.
Isolated heavy rainfall with areas of monsoonal rain and isolated thunderstorms is possible over much of northern Queensland and parts of inland Queensland for the next several days.
River level rises and flooding is possible across the Flood Watch area. Elevated tides are also occurring which may enhance flooding in coastal parts of the Flood Watch area.
Isolation of communities and disruption to transport routes are possible over the next few days.

Significant rainfall totals have been observed over upper parts of the Thomson and Barcoo Rivers catchment during the last few days.
Along the Barcoo River, the flood peak is now downstream of Isisford. Along the Thomson River, river levels are peaking upstream at Bowen Downs. Flood waters will continue to move downstream over the next week.
Further showers and thunderstorms are possible for the next few days.
Thomson River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Thomson River.
No recent observations are available for the Thomson River at Camoola Park, however the river level at Camoola Park is expected to be below the minor flood level (2.0 m).
The Thomson River at Camoola Park may reach the minor flood level (2.00 m) from Wednesday.
Barcoo River to Isisford:
Minor flooding has eased along the Barcoo River to Isisford.
The Barcoo River at Isisford is currently at 2.60 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (4.00 m).

MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT RICHMOND FROM SUNDAY MORNING
Moderate flooding continues at Richmond, where further rises to the major flood level are possible from Sunday morning with forecast rainfall. As this floodwater extends downstream, minor flooding may develop at Walker's Bend from around Wednesday next week.
Further showers and storms are forecast across the Flinders catchment during the weekend, which may cause renewed river and creek level rises and prolonged flooding. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.
Flinders River to Richmond:
Major flooding is possible along the Flinders River to Richmond.
As of 8:30 am Saturday morning, the Flinders River at Richmond was at 7.15 metres and rising, above the moderate flood level (6.00 metres).
The Flinders River at Richmond may reach the major flood level (8.00 metres) Sunday morning with forecast rainfall.
Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Minor flooding is possible along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond.

Moderate flooding from recent rainfall is continuing along the Connors and Isaac Rivers. Rainfall totals of 20-40 mm have been recorded in the upper catchment since 9:00 am Friday.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days in the Connors and Isaac River catchments.

Moderate flooding is continuing along the Connors and Isaac Rivers. Moderate flooding along the Connors River at Pink Lagoon is peaking.
The Isaac River at Yatton is currently at 11.91 metres and rising, above the moderate flood level (9.50 m).
The Isaac River at Yatton is likely to peak near 13.60 metres late Saturday and into Sunday, with moderate flooding. The river level is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (9.50 m) into next week.
