Minor Flood Warning For The Dawson River

MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT TAROOM OVERNIGHT FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY AND POSSIBLE AT MOURA AND BARALABA DURING FRIDAY
Moderate rainfall overnight in the Upper Dawson River catchment and during the past week has resulted in river rises along the Dawson River and its tributaries.
Renewed river level rises to the minor flood level at Taroom overnight Friday into Saturday are likely. River level rises are occurring along the Middle Dawson River where minor flooding may develop at Moura and Baralaba during Friday. The situation is being monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
Dawson River to Theodore:
Minor flooding is likely along the Dawson River to Theodore
The Dawson River at Taroom is currently at 3.31 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Dawson River at Taroom is likely to reach the minor flood level (4.5 m) during overnight Friday into Saturday.
Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
Minor flooding is possible along the Dawson River downstream of Theodore.
No observations are currently available for the Dawson River at Moura.
The Dawson River at Moura may reach around the minor flood level (6.00 m) during Friday.
No observations are currently available for the Dawson River at Baralaba.
The Dawson River at Baralaba may exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) during Friday. The river may reach around 5.50 m during Saturday, with minor flooding.
