MINOR FLOODING ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING AT GLENGYLE
Areas of heavy to intense rainfall are forecast to continue across parts of the Georgina River and Eyre Creek catchments for the next few days, with significant rainfall having been observed in the upper reaches of the catchment over the last few days. Further creek and river level rises, localised flooding, and overland inundation are likely to continue. These conditions are likely to affect road access, and some communities will become isolated.
River level rises are occurring along the Georgina River and its tributaries following rainfall over the last week. Moderate flooding is possible along the Georgina River at Marion Downs from Monday afternoon. As this peak moves downstream, moderate flooding is possible at Bedourie from Thursday, and at Glengyle, the creek level is estimated to be around the minor flood level. Continued heavy rainfall over parts of the catchment will impact downstream locations over the coming weeks, with further river and creek level rises likely.
The situation is being monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
A Severe Weather Warning for Heavy Rainfall is current for parts of the Georgina River and Eyre Creek catchment. A Flood Watch is current for the adjacent catchments in the Northern Territory, including the Barkly and Simpson Desert.

Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Along the Georgina River to Marion Downs, moderate flooding is occurring at Boulia and Glenormiston, and is possible at Marion Downs.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is currently at 3.70 m and rising, above the minor flood level (3.00 m).
The Georgina River at Marion Downs may exceed the moderate flood level (4.00 m) from Monday afternoon. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
River level rises are occurring along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs.
Eyre Creek:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Eyre Creek at Bedourie.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 3.80 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie may reach around the moderate flood level (4.00 m) from Thursday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

No current creek level observations are available for the Eyre Creek at Glengyle. The creek level is estimated to be around the minor flood level.
The Eyre Creek at Glengyle is likely to remain around the minor flood level (2.00 m) for the next few days. Further rises are likely as upstream flows arrive.

MINOR FLOODING EXPECTED TO BE OCCURRING AT HUNGERFORD
The main flood peak along the Paroo River is around Caiwarro, where minor flooding is occurring.
Downstream at Hungerford, renewed minor flooding is expected to be occurring. At Eulo, minor flooding is estimated to have eased. Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.
Further moderate rainfall is forecast across the catchment over the next few days, which may lead to additional river and creek level rises. This situation is being monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A minor flood warning is current for the Paroo River (NSW).

Paroo River to Eulo:
Minor flooding is estimated to have eased at Eulo.
No observations are currently available for the Paroo River at Eulo, but the river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level and slowly falling.
The Paroo River at Eulo is likely to remain below the minor flood level (2.60 m) for the remainder of Monday into Tuesday.

Paroo River downstream of Eulo:
Minor flooding is occurring at Caiwarro and is expected to be occurring at Hungerford.
The Paroo River at Hungerford was at 1.15 metres around 6:00 am Monday and slowly rising, above the minor flood level (1.00 m). The river level is expected to be above the minor flood level and rising.
The Paroo River at Hungerford may reach around 1.30 m during Tuesday, with minor flooding.

RENEWED RISES TO NEAR MODERATE LEVELS POSSIBLE AT WINTON FROM OVERNIGHT MONDAY INTO TUESDAY
Along the Western River at Winton, river levels have continued to fall and are now just around the minor flood level. Multiple renewed rises are expected following recent rainfall. Renewed rises to near the moderate flood level are possible from overnight Monday into Tuesday as upstream floodwaters arrive.
Along the Diamantina River, river levels are above the moderate flood level and rising at Diamantina Lakes. A below minor flood peak has passed Birdsville, however renewed river level rises are likely from next week with the combination of upstream flood waters arriving and locally heavy rainfall.
Showers and storms are likely over parts of the catchment for the next few days which may cause further river level rises in some areas. This warning will be updated as required.
A Severe Weather Warning is current for Heavy Rainfall in the far lower reaches of the catchment, including Birdsville.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is currently at 4.21 m and rising, above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) and well above the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway level (2.10 m).
Western River:
Renewed moderate flooding is possible along the Western River at Winton.
The Western River at Winton is currently at 1.50 m and steady, with minor flooding.
Renewed river level rises are possible and the Western River at Winton may reach around the moderate flood level (2.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday.

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Minor flooding is occurring at Monkira. River level rises are expected along the Diamantina River downstream as upstream flows arrive, and with forecast locally heavy rainfall.

Heavy rainfall and possible damaging wind gusts over far southwestern Queensland.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving tropical low is located over the southeast of the Northern Territory. Rich tropical moisture surrounding this system brings the risk of heavy rainfall.
HEAVY RAINFALL and DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas:
Channel Country
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast for parts of the Channel Country. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 50 and 80 mm are possible.
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS of about 90 km/h are possible with showers and thunderstorms.
There remains some uncertainty around the position and strength of the tropical low, which may linger and affect the western Channel Country for most of the week.
These conditions also threaten cattle and other livestock.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT RETREAT AND ISISFORD AND POSSIBLE AT JUNDAH FROM SUNDAY EVENING
Moderate to heavy rainfall during the last few days over the Thomson River catchment has led to river level rises between Camoola Park and Stonehenge. Minor flooding is occurring at Camoola Park, with moderate flooding possible from Sunday afternoon as upstream flows arrive. Further downstream, minor flooding is occurring at Longreach and Stonehenge, and possible at Jundah from Sunday evening. As upstream flows arrive, moderate flooding is possible at Stonehenge from Monday and at Longreach from Tuesday.
Along the Barcoo River, minor flooding is occurring at Isisford. Further downstream, minor flooding is continuing at Retreat, where renewed rises are possible over the next week as upstream flows arrive.
Along the Cooper Creek, minor flooding is occurring at Windorah (Main Channel), with moderate flooding possible from late Sunday as upstream flows arrive.
Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.
Further rainfall and showers are possible over parts of the catchment for the next few days. This warning will be updated as required.
A Severe Weather Warning is current for Heavy Rainfall in the far lower reaches of the Cooper Creek catchment.

Thomson River:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Thomson River at Camoola Park, Longreach and Stonehenge. Minor flooding is occurring at Bogewong, and is likely at Jundah.
No observations are currently available for the Thomson River at Camoola Park. The river level at Camoola Park was recorded at 3.60 m around 6:00 am on Saturday and rising, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park may reach around the moderate flood level (4.00 m) Sunday afternoon. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 3.76 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Longreach may reach around the moderate flood level (4.30 m) from Tuesday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

No observations are currently available for the Thomson River at Stonehenge. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, it is estimated that the Thomson River at Stonehenge is above the minor flood level and rising.
