MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT LONGREACH EARLY NEXT WEEK
MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT CAMOOLA PARK
Rainfall over recent days and weeks has caused river level rises across the upper Thomson River catchment. Minor flooding is occurring at Camoola Park. Downstream at Longreach minor flooding is likely during Sunday and moderate flooding is possible early next week as upstream floodwaters arrive.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible from this weekend, which may cause renewed river level rises from early next week. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.

Thomson River:
Moderate flooding may develop along the upper Thomson River at Longreach. Minor flooding is occurring at Camoola Park, Muttaburra and Bogewong.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park peaked at 3.70 m around 06:00 pm Friday 9 January, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 3.60 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) for the next few days. With forecast rainfall, renewed river level rises are possible in the coming days.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 2.81 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Thomson River at Longreach is likely to exceed the minor flood level (3.30 m) during Sunday. The river may reach around the moderate flood level (4.30 m) early next week.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Flood Warning For The Diamantina River And Final Flood Warning For The Western River

FLOODING HAS EASED AT WINTON
Recent heavy rainfall has caused river level rises and flooding across the Diamantina River catchment and its upper tributaries. Minor flooding has eased along the Western River at Winton.
Major flooding is occurring at Diamantina Lakes. An earlier flood peak is continuing to move downstream along the Diamantina River below Monkira.
Further rainfall may redevelop over the next week, with a tropical low forecast to move over northern Queensland. This may result in renewed river level rises and flooding. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is at 6.17 m and steady, above the level of the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway (2.10 m).
Western River:
Flooding has eased along the Western River at Winton.
The water level at Winton was 1.45 m and steady at 1:45 pm Friday, below the minor flood level.
The Western River at Winton is likely to remain below the minor flood level (1.50 m).

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
River level rises are occurring along the lower Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes, with a flood peak travelling downstream of Monkira.

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT MARION DOWNS FROM EARLY NEXT WEEK
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BEDOURIE AND GLENGYLE
Recent rainfall has caused river level rises and minor to major flooding along the Georgina River to Marion Downs.
At Marion Downs moderate flooding is possible from early next week. Minor flooding is occurring along the Eyre Creek at Bedourie and Glengyle. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Major flooding is occurring at Roxborough Downs and moderate flooding is occurring at Glenormiston.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is currently at 2.45 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is like to exceed the minor flood level (3.00 m) over the weekend, with further rises to the moderate flood level (4.00 m) possible early next week. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Eyre Creek:
Minor flooding is occurring along Eyre Creek. Further rises are possible as floodwaters from upstream arrive.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 3.60 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.50 m) over the next few days. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

The Eyre Creek at Glengyle was at 2.50 m at 09:00 am Friday, with minor flooding.
The Eyre Creek at Glengyle may remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) over the next few days. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
