Final Flood Warning For The Suttor River

FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT ST ANNS
Moderate rainfall during last week over parts of the Belyando and Suttor Rivers catchment caused river level rises along the Suttor River and its tributaries.
A minor flood peak was observed at St Anns on Thursday 19 March, followed by a second flood peak just below the minor flood level observed on Tuesday 24 March at St Anns.
River levels at St Anns are expected to remain below the minor flood level and flooding is no longer expected.
Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Flooding no longer expected along the Suttor River at St Anns.
The Suttor River at St Anns peaked at 3.88 m around 08:00 am Tuesday, just below the minor level (4.00 m). The river is currently at 3.83 m and falling slowly, below the minor flood level.
The Suttor River at St Anns is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m).
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
